Meet Darlene Friedman, CPA

Informed Financial Decision Making

Darlene is a well rounded CPA with over 20 years of experience in public accounting working with small to medium size businesses in a variety of industries including construction, software development and manufacturing.

With extensive experience in financial reporting, she has strong accounting technical skills with an in-depth knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles. Her background in public accounting also includes tax experience with a variety of entity types.

Darlene strengths also include reviewing, evaluating and recommending improvements to accounting procedures and controls.

Besides her public accounting experience, Darlene has been involved in launching two businesses; one in the retail industry and another in the financing industry. She has knowledge of many facets of starting and running a small business including developing and evaluating the results of a business plan and a marketing plan, obtaining financing, business development and establishing procedures and internal controls.

Expertise in Due Diligence

Darlene’s experience in the financing industry provides expertise in due diligence, financial analysis and sources of alternative financing.

Darlene has worked with companies to develop month and year-end closing procedures, improve cash flow and design meaningful financial reports to help management make informed decisions. She also has experience training accounting staff in these and other areas.

Serving as board member and treasurer for various non-profit organizations for many years, Darlene can also provide financial leadership services to charitable and civic organizations.

As a former business owner, Darlene is familiar with the challenges that face owners in today’s business environment. From her public accounting and business ownership experience, Darlene has a combination of accounting technical skills, business development/marketing skills and management skills which makes her a unique CPA. This combination results in a financial professional who connects the numbers to results and develops accounting and financial reporting systems with business success in mind. Her expertise goes beyond the finance department into marketing, strategic planning and leadership. As a result, Darlene’s role as an advisor is multifaceted.

Darlene is an ambassador with the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce and serves on the board and as treasurer of Girls Inc. of NH.
